Haven’t done a giveaway in a while here at Nuvany Nice, so here’s one for ya! Yessss these are the F-Troupe flats that I bragged about in a previous post, but I left out one important fact I CAN’T FIT THEM! I’m not going to lie, I WILL bind my feet like the geisha’s did to squeeze into a pair of shoes but I’ve tried & they are just a bit too snug! And since I love & appreciate my readers immensely, I’ve decided to give one lucky reader/visitor a chance to win these F-Troupe flats.
Leave a comment telling me what you would like to see here at Nuvany Nice, that’s it! Please don’t forget to provide your email address in the appropriate field.
Giveaway starts today Aug. 09, 2010 & ends Aug. 23, 2010
Deets: F-Troupe Flats Brand New In Box sz.40/9 value $150
Retweet the giveaway on Twitter for an extra entry!
Quan Mai aka GENETICBOI is my new muse! I’m totally enthralled with his creative genius. He’s a model, graphic designer, art director & photographer. He does it all, the shoot above inspired partly by Givenchy’s A/W 09 collection is just a snippet of his work. And yes homeboy made that headpiece! You can view his complete port HERE! I’ve got my eye on Mr. Mai!
*Edit* Please check out Mr. Mai’s wonderful blog as well, I just discovered it via his lovely comment :)!
I think the last few years online boutiques have really stepped up their styling steez. It’s not just a matter of garbing a dressform any more, it’s almost like a competition to showcase their skills. Styling and buying go hand in hand, and if one is not on point it’s that much more difficult to produce quality that keen customers will want to purchase. This is the first edition of Make Me Wanna Buy It. I’m always ranting about how challenging it is assembling my fits on a daily basis, these are the shops that render an abundance of inspiration for me :)!
I am honored to be guest blogging over at Montreal based fashion & design blog TamSam for the week! If you haven’t already checked the wonderful ladies out please take a peek . Yes honey are you still standing? Mmmm I know its too early for goodness like this right, catch your breath, lets breathe together. I know I’m so dramatic, but this is good stuff seriously right! So inspiring I’m seriously in awe of the perfection of this shoot. The model, the construction of the clothes, the makeup, the simplistic edginess it all works for me. There is truly and art to styling! I wanted to post the entire look book from Italian line Malloni, but that would be overkill now wouldn’t it. When I see fashion encompassed as a whole like this, it revives my passion for the ART that is fashion. I know that was extremely cliché, but it is what it is! I’m so excited by these photos, but don’t let me hold you any longer hurry on over to their site and indulge in the rest of the amazing looks! Thank me later 🙂

Since I began my blog, I’ve always made a conscious effort to post original non-redundant content. I know theres that saying there’s nothing new under the sun, but I think I do a good job at it. But of course theres always an exception to the rule, like what I’m posting today. Fader Magazine Style Editor Chioma Nnadi is what I call a mentor in my head (someone that I do not know personally but am inspired by and admire from afar). I love her style and her work equally. I logged onto her Fader Mag Style blog today and had a sort of deja vu of what I was seeing. I’ve briefly read about and even visited The Uniform Project Blog. But after viewing the trailer that Sheena Mathieken put together, I knew I had to continue spreading the word about her selfless efforts. I want to make sure that you watch the video and get involved, so I’m not going to elaborate any further. Just watch and hopefully you’ll be touched like I’ve been!
