{Fashion./Culture.} On Sale: Get Your Cassi Go Home Duffel

My style ranges from casual to dressy, its always changing. I don’t have any particular style that I stick to, I get bored very easily. This blog is a reflection of my personal style and taste. You will never see a post of something that I dislike or would never wear. I hope that this is something everyone enjoys, the diversity!

If you look up the word Grinding in the dictionary there’s no doubt that you will see a pic. of Emeka Alams. Emeka is one of the hardest working folks that I know and I’m convinced he knows everyone on the planet, no exaggeration :)! Emeka has been hard at work gradually releasing pieces from his new line Gold Coast TradingGold Coast Trading is a tribute & celebration to his home Africa.  We would gather in large numbers to mourn with those who mourn and to rejoice with those who rejoice. We have forgotten that we came from a continent where guiding, correcting and rebuking children is everybody’s’ task; a continent with green forests, clean rivers and undiscovered natural resources abound. The continent is love. Still, you dont know or understand. This is my effort to get back to that.

Yesterday was the drop for the bag I’ve been waiting for from the line, The Cassi Go Home Duffel Bag.  100% bull twill with Ugandan gold print & Red Mozambican sun zippers. Durable enough for all of  your worldwide travels. You can pre-order the bag by dropping an email to  And get excited because this is part 1 of 2! Be sure to explore the movement by visiting Emeka’s amazing blog Live From the Coast. You will definitely learn a thing or 2! Lookout for the S/S 10 Campaign coming to a computer screen near you really soon!

{Fashion.} Hernan Lander Zip Me Up

Hernan Lander is currently on my “ones to watch” radar thanks to these beauties! After viewing pics. of the S/S 10 runway show, I immediately contacted  Landers PR to request images of the amazing shoes.  For S/S 10 Dominican born Lander drew inspiration from the industrialization of  Africa.  Mixing  soft and hard materials to create youthful pieces.  Zippers were a huge infusion into the majority of the collection. I fell in love with his unique shoe designs, merging the classic wooden heel with zippers, zippers and more zippers. To view the complete S/S 10 collection visit  Hernan Lander!

Are you screaming with me as your gawking at your computer scream, okay let’s do it again together AHHHHHHH! Yessss thats exactly what I did when I decided to revisit one of my favorite spanish lines Bimba Y Lola. Do I even need to say anything more, Bimba Y Lola never disappoints. Whatever look your aiming for, you’ll find it with Bimba Y Lola. These are only a few of the many looks to choose from, I wanted to post every look but wanted you to have something to look forward to when visiting their site :)! There are so many wearable pieces to mix and match, you will have a field day even if you just pick 2 or 3 pieces to incorporate into your current wardrobe. I’m coveting those rust brown lace up boots, that fur stole, those bling booties, ahhhhh I VWANT it all!!! So i’ll stop rambling, do yourself a favor and indulge in all of the goodness Bimba Y Lola has to offer!

{Fashion.} Pepa Loves A/W 09/10

pepa2pepa4pepa3Lovin these colorful looks from Spanish brand Pepa Loves. For fall they’ve decided to go with pops of color and these wonderful vintage-esque neck-tie blouses. I have a few vintage blouses that I plan to pull out this season with flattering neck-ties. People tend to stray away from color opting to not even give it a chance rather than be a total overkill by overdoing it. I can not live without color in my wardrobe. Even if it’s the smallest detail like a pin or brooch. Granted you can go overboard with color, but I think the key is balance. Add touches of color discretely throughout your fit, it can  be your shoes or even a smaller accessory like a piece of jewelry. Experiment and play around with it and in time you’ll see what works for your style, just don’t be afraid of color! Visit Pepa Loves to view the full A/W 09/10 lookbook
