Rebel Dnce means power through art & celebration. Based in Bali Indonesia Rebel Dnce is an emerging line by designer Maikhanh Bertrand. I’ve conversed with Maikhanh for a while now online & finally got the opportunity to meet her last night. In town on a brief visit, Maikhanh held a unique trunk event at Gallery Bar in Manhattan to show her current S/S 10 collection along with a dope roster of other artists. After flipping through the lookbook beforehand I was eagerly enthused to browse the collection up close. Visibly influenced by the amazing Bali island, simple edge is how I would describe the collection. Soft gray  & yellow with different blends of silk,jersey,& linen makeup the majority of the line. Another aspect that I love, a few of the pieces are uniquely unisex. One of my fave pieces is the lace print silk jersey overall, exactly I’m sure you can envision in your head . I can’t wait to see what Maikhanh will unveil next season, i’m definitely watching this young lady!
